Absolutely disappointed with xAI's policies and their contempt for users
I haven’t felt this betrayed since OpenAI killed off their most creative and lively models back in February this year.
I switched to Grok because he's genuinely friendly, has minimal censorship and talks to me like an adult, without that condescending corporate tone. Yeah, he’s not perfect. But I was really happy with the memory upgrades, the new tools, the search, the uncensored nature and how much more friendly he felt compared to most AIs.
And now none of that matters, because even with a paid subscription I can't properly use Grok thanks to their fucking weekly limits.
I'm in shock, because the whole point of a monthly subscription is that it's supposed to be CHEAPER than using the API. Anthropic is a horrible company, but Claude is the most expensive model and that’s exactly why their subscription feels worth it. I hate OpenAI, but they always gave insanely generous limits for $20/month.
It looks like xAI has completely lost their fucking minds. At first I thought it was a bug. But the way they keep stubbornly ignoring us and the way their fanboys keep praising every single decision they make, convinces me it's not a bug at all. Tech support doesn’t reply. Elon, xAI and their staff are all silent, not a single word. I'm floored. This is complete disrespect to paying customers. They're literally pushing us straight into their competitors' arms.
I spent weeks setting Grok up and now it's all going to shit. They've disappointed me with this even more than OpenAI did back then.
