My first ride on Riverside 120! Thanks to this subreddit!

Here is my first ride on Decathlon Riverside 120! The seat was a little uncomfortable but I think I will get used to it. Very smooth gear shifting and easier than the freewheel bike had before this.

Again, thanks to all those who helped me decide on this.

Buying a cycle this week! Is the Riverside 120 my best pick for 15k?

I’ve been scrolling here for a while and finally moving from "thinking about it" to actually buying a cycle in the next few days. I’m based in Surat and could use some quick advice.

The plan:

I’m currently training for a 10k run, so I want a bike for cross-training and recovery. I’ll be doing about 60km a week (split into two 30km rides) on city roads.

My details:

Age: 30

Weight: 71kg

Height: 5ft 8in

Budget: Max ₹15,000.

Current choice: The Decathlon Riverside 120. It seems like a solid, no-nonsense hybrid that fits my budget perfectly.

Terrain: Flat city roads.

A few questions for you experts:

Is there anything better than the RS120 for 15k right now? Or should I just go for it?

For those who ride the RS120, is it comfortable for 30km stretches?

Any other bikes I should check out in Surat before I head to Decathlon?

Thanks for the help
