For full context she bought all the artist’s paintings so he could take a day off and also gifted him art supplies. I can’t help but laugh at her buying an artist generic brand paint and paint brushes like she knows what he needs. Also Becca bloom can buy out all the street vendors she wants but there’s still nothing ethical about her level of wealth.
Chase Infiniti and Nick Robinson are my perfect Yrene and Chaol! I haven't seen these two mentioned in fancasts so wanted to put this out there.
To me, they fit the age and character descriptions well. Chase is super bubbly in real life but can also act really strong and tough (see One Battle After Another), like Yrene. Nick Robinson is a classic romcom lead and can also play stoic and tortured well.
I finished the entire TOG series last week and I still can’t get over Chaol and Celaena. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think Aelin should have ended up with Chaol, but I miss the romance between them in book 1 and 2. I keep rereading their scenes!
Their friendship, the banter, the yearning, and the slow burn was all so perfect. I loved reading about Chaol’s restraint, and also the moments where he couldn’t help but step up to the line he drew between him and Celaena. The scene where they are dancing outside the ball together is so perfect. In case you can’t tell, Chaol is my favourite Maasverse MMC.
Does any else feel the same? Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get over this? Or know any books that have a similar type of romance?
