How to write a timeskip that doesn't feel stupid?

I've written myself into a situation where my character would be doing a whole lot of nothing for at least a month, and mundanity is driving him crazy, but I also don't want to just write him doing a whole lot of nothing with repetitive internal dialogue, and subsequently drive the reader crazy with boredom as well. I also would like him to otherwise not go through many changes at this point in the story, other than just being so incredibly ready to be done with his month of boredom, which is why I'm hesitant to come up with things to happen to him in the meantime. I would like it to be a timeskip, but I'm weary of it feeling like 'and then a bunch of time passed'. Any advice is appreciated ^^

I have always played Terraria more focused on the survival and combat stuff, so I’m trying to make pretty builds for the first time! Here’s my mushroom biome orb, I think it’s pretty :)
