Last day in Whitefish recs on lowkey things to do

We’re out here visiting from the east coast. I’m pregnant and probably overdid it a bit with hiking so we’re trying to make our last day kind of chill and lowkey with no hiking.

So far we’ve driven the whole Going to the Sun road twice, hiked Apikuni Falls, Trail of the Cedars & Avalanche Lake, and St. Mary & Virginia Falls. We also drove out to the Bison Range and drove around Flathead Lake. We’ve also wandered around downtown Whitefish.

What’s something laidback but something you’d recommend as “can’t miss”?

Boy names that go with Merle or James for baby due Mid February?

Don’t know what we’re having. I think we’ve settled on Vivienne Jewell, Joanna Grey, or Cecelia Jewell for a girl. Having a hard time with boys names, nothing really jumps out at me. I really liked Theodore but a good friend named her son that and I feel like it’s too popular now. Our last name starts with Ch and ends with a consonant. For middle names we like either James or Merle (both family names).
I don’t want anything overly popular, def nothing in the top 20-50 names unless I’m over the moon about it.

So far we kind of like George Merle or Carson James.
Also like Rhett but not sure I like either middle name with it. Elliot, Warren, and Everette are also names we like but not totally in love with. Any suggestions?

Names for our valentine baby?

We had several girl names picked out that just don’t feel right now that I’m pregnant. Our last name starts with Ch and ends with a consonant. Middle name would either be Grey or Jewell (both family names). Really want something with a cute nickname and something not super popular as I had the #1 baby name of my birth year and absolutely hated it in school.

Names we both like but aren’t fully in love with: Vivienne, Joanna, Emogene, Sylvia, Blake, Cecelia, Magnolia, Lois

Names my husband loves: Evelyn (he refuses to believe how popular this is), Lily (I’m just not a fan)

Names I love: Savannah, Ophelia, Penelope, Elowyn

I think my personal favorite out of these is Vivienne Jewell or Joanna Grey but I’m not 100% sold.

My name starts with a T and hubbies is E.

▲ 290 r/nursing

I’m just really annoyed. I came in was told I was going to have a single, intubated patient. I was really excited too because it was a bit more complex of a patient which I hadn’t had in a bit. Get in the room to start getting report and I get pulled out and told that “so and so is going to take this assignment instead.”

Turns out, I now have to take 2 patients that are in the extra bed spaces we are occupying on step down. Both of which just looked like a total dumpster fire when I got them, rooms a complete mess, just the usual bullshit.

Pretty sure this happened because the nurse that took the patient I was going to get didn’t want to go to “no man’s land.” And yeah, ultimately I’ve been on an island by myself with two hot mess patients and not a single person has checked on me all night. I want to say something to my manager in the morning, I don’t think anyone should be above taking assignments down here and I damn sure don’t think anyone should be asking to switch assignments unless there’s a legit reason like no male caregivers or pregnant caregivers etc. at the same time I also don’t want to paint a target on my back either so I’ll probably just bitch here and go back to the status quo.

Thanks for letting me vent. My unit culture is just pretty shitty at times. Guess it’s good I love this patient population.
