This one is a bit unusual. One of the questions is which characters in version 4.4's story (and only considering the story and lore) you were looking forward to/excited to see. Welt is one of the options. Maybe if enough people fill it out, they'll start giving a damn. Maybe. I'm not holding my breath, but also I was so disappointed in this version's handling of him. Welt's entire *existence* revolves around protecting and serving others. He will (and has, twice) give up his life for the good of humanity. I've been working on a series of fics for a while now. It's not precisely popular, because I write for rarepairs and unpopular characters, but I do have readers I get hyped and excited to talk with, and the comments I do get are amazing. Like, my readers and commenters are the best.
But there's this one who seems to think that my fics are there for them to stuff their OC in. Every time I update, there's always a long ramble in my DMs about how their OC would fix everything because he's immortal and a god and nobody can stand up to him etc., etc. And normally I'm happy to indulge and talk about OCs and theoreticals and lore. It's fun to come up with those things!
But to share a fic chapter and be immediately confronted with a wall of text about 'well, your villain would immediately be killed and everything would be fixed by my OC like it never happened' is honestly pretty demoralizing! I just posted an addendum to a fic and that was the immediate response. 'Well, that's thorough. Anyway, here's s every way in which I would negate all the future character development with my OC.' The way it was all phrased, I couldn't tell if they liked it and were expanding on it, or if they were trying to fix my fic!
I know they're not being malicious when they do this. They're excited and they love their OC. And I like talking to them about other things and our OCs in other ways! And I don't want to sound ungrateful, I'm so grateful for comments and feedback! But how in the world do I tell them this is starting to make me want to hide my fic updates from them?

I just had a laser lithotripsy this morning for what turned out to be a 9mm stone. They put in a stent with a string for me to remove myself in five days. The problem is, the pain in the urethra when urinating/walking/sitting down is like I have razor wire or sewing thread embedded with glass. Is this residual pain from the surgery itself or is it just the string? I can't puck up the medication for bladder spasms until tomorrow, is ibuprofen and Azo the best way to manage the pain until I can get that medicine?
