Upgraded 2025 Grand Canyon AL6
It’s been a year since I’ve pulled the trigger on a Grand Canyon AL6.
It was a great bang for buck in my opinion, however after some months and some 1000 km’s in the saddle, I’ve started to feel some limitations here & there. So after months of dealing with hunting here’s my custom setup, and I’m happy where it goes now.:
Grand Canyon AL6 2025 (Raku)
Fox 34 SL Performance Elite (130mm)
DT Swiss HX1700 wheels (DT 350 hybrid hubs) converted to tubeless
XTR 9120 brake sets (front + rear) w/ 180mm XT disks
XT rear derailleur, XT 10-51, XT chain, XT BB
What I am considering to change is the crankset, but while the Deore lasts it’s okay for me. (And there were no great deals on XT/XTR sets :D)
Also thinking about to grab a dropper post; however I am not fully sure about the pro’s & cons regarding the weight/maintenance/price at the moment.
Also seat will be changed soon.
Oh and I need a matching Bottle cage & Bottle :D
I’m pretty happy with the changes and setup now. I can feel the positives of the weight reduction and also the fork is night & day after that factory RockShox Judy Gold:)
160k & 1200m elevation done in the last 4 days. Mixed XC
/ gravel / flow trails in local woods.
