Apologies if this is a dumb question but I moved here not that long ago, is Harrisonburg strict about setting off fireworks? I’m in the JMU off campus apartments and have some small-ish ones to set off tomorrow. Just wanted to know if we’d have to otherwise drive out somewhere to be safe, thanks!
I’m sure everyone knows it’s tick season already but just warning everyone it’s super bad this year! If you live in a wooded area be extra careful, I’ve dealt with a few already and I haven’t once walked through tall grass or bushes. I’ve found some in my house as well. Even walking on a pathway you’re still vulnerable, happened to my boyfriend. Check your pets too!!
Apologies if this is irrelevant/lazy but anyone know why that cop car has been sitting outside Camelot for like 4 days? Haven’t seen anyone in it and it’s just been left there. Just thought it was kinda weird
I’m looking for chill, casual places to sit and do schoolwork. I’m closer to Ruckersville than the UVA/downtown area, so there isn’t as much up this way. I enjoy coffee shops and cafes (Panera, Starbucks, grit, etc.) but I’m looking for places I can chill without necessarily having to purchase anything. I’m not close to the library so that’s a bit inconvenient as well. I like the vibe of places like the cafe inside Barnes and Noble, but again it’s a bit far. Would love to hear your suggestions! Bonus points if it has outlets to plug my laptop in!!
