Is 12 the Sweet Spot for FPL Draft Leagues?
Hey everyone, hope you’re all doing well.
We’re currently a 12-man FPL Draft league going into our third season, and lately we’ve been talking about possibly expanding the league to 13 or even 14 players. Along with the draft itself, we also run two cup competitions during the season, and overall we’re trying to make the league feel a bit more competitive and serious.
Part of the reason we’re considering adding more managers is because we want to avoid some teams becoming too stacked with elite players and creating “super teams.” We feel like increasing the number of managers could make drafting more important and force people to build smarter squads overall.
At the same time, we are a little concerned about whether adding more players could make the player pool too thin and hurt the experience, especially when it comes to waivers and free agents throughout the season.
So I wanted to hear from people who have played in 13- or 14-man FPL Draft leagues before. How was your experience with it? Did it actually make the league more competitive and enjoyable, or did it end up making things too difficult?
Would really appreciate hearing some opinions and experiences from you guys.
