For someone trying to cut back on alcohol who doesn't like tea, what is a grown-up beverage that is a good substitute?

I'm trying to cut back on drinking, but I like having a drink in my hand in the evening. I don't like tea, don't like sweet drinks, and don't want caffeine. What's your go to beverage of choice?

Anger at God

I surprised myself yesterday with something I wrote here in response to someone who said they were mad at God, mad about the suffering, unfairness, and cruelty in the world. I have been there myself, and I had never put these words together, but this is what I wrote:

"I feel the same way, but over time I've learned that the god I'm mad at was a lie I was told. I don't believe in that god anymore, and my anger is directed more toward the church institution that lied to me about God."

Don't get me wrong, I still believe in God, just not the one that is involved day to day to try to right the wrongs of the world. There's simply too much senseless suffering in the world to believe in a god that is pulling the levers to intervene. I believe He gave that job to us, and right now too many people, many of whom call themselves Christians, are fighting against that. That's what I'm mad about now.
