Took a ride up into the Blue Mountains from here in Kennewick. Gassed up on the way out of town. Used lots of throttle everywhere. At about 210 miles on the trip meter it started cutting out. I made it another mile on the shoulder. I had been seeing like 70 mpg but I recently changed tires. They are 3% larger than the old ones, but also knobbier so maybe they suck gas? But there are 3 Good Things that came from this:

1. I now know my maximum fuel range.

2. I met 2 very cool people. One guy picked me up on the highway and drove me round trip to get gas. I struggled with the gas pump credit card, and a super nice lady gave me a gallon out of her gas pump!

3. I found some morel mushrooms in the mountains.
