The amount of fair weather fans I’m seeing in NYC is astronomical. I mean I get it, people want to part of the vibes. Wild to think that stugotz is the transparent one in all this. Actually, not wild at all considering Dan’s history. I tend to believe the person that is willing to give context to the audience than the self pity man child. Dan is a coward.
Dan's approach with the audience now is that criticism doesn't really matter to him anymore. As long as that Draft Kings $$$ is there it's all good. Whether people criticize Tony, complain about losing Billy and the in-studio women, or call out Dan's hypocrisy, the only thing that seems to matter is keeping the audience emotionally invested. As long as people continue watching and engaging, Dan and the crew appear satisfied because, ultimately, it's about the numbers. At times, it almost feels like the audience has been conditioned to stay invested no matter how frustrated they get.
I really hope the show has a solid plan for World Cup coverage. Get anybody out of the way who’s gonna side-eye the sport, because soccer is going to be the main event for a month and a half. I trust Mike, but who else is really tapped into soccer? Man, I miss Witty. Amin’s one of the only other people there who genuinely gets it, bring him on every day if you have to.
