Tired of your HP Victus ignoring CPU temperature spikes? Meet NiyanTraK (NTK).
Hi everyone!
I own an HP Victus, and coming from an ASUS laptop, I thought tweaking performance and fan control would be easy.
Instead, I ended up switching between multiple utilities for CPU tuning, fan control, temperature monitoring, and diagnostics — so I decided to build something that brings it all together.
Being a software developer, I figured I'd build the tool I wished existed.
Introducing NiyanTraK (NTK) — an open-source hardware tuning suite for HP Victus, Pavilion Gaming, and Omen laptops.
>AS OF NOW ONLY RYZEN CPUs ARE SUPPORTED. DO NOT TRY ON INTEL LAPTOPS.
WILL BE RELEASING FOR INTEL SOON, and I NEED SOME TESTERS AS I DONT OWN INTEL BASED HP LAPTOP.
📸 Quick look at the UI
- Dashboard
- Fan Curve
- Stress Test
- Floating Widget
- Settings
What can it do?
- Custom step-based fan curves
- Ryzen CPU power tuning (RyzenAdj)
- Live hardware telemetry
- Real-time monitoring dashboard
- Diagnostic log export
- Built-in thermal safety overrides
- Direct Embedded Controller (EC)-based fan control
Tested on
- HP Victus 15/16 (Ryzen 5 5600H)
- HP Pavilion Gaming (Ryzen 5 5600H)
- HP Victus 15/16 (Ryzen 5 8645HS)
⚠️ Administrator privileges are required since NTK communicates directly with low-level hardware.
This is the first public beta and it's completely open source (GPL-3.0).
I'd really appreciate any feedback, bug reports, compatibility reports, or feature suggestions—especially if you test it on other HP Victus, Pavilion Gaming, or Omen models.
