Hi everyone,
I am facing an issue with my HP Victus laptop. It shows the battery at 100%, but the moment I unplug the charger, the laptop instantly turns blank and shuts off. This happens everywhere I tested it on the normal Windows screen and even inside BIOS.
I also ran HP Diagnostics, and it showed a battery warning/error, including 601. In BIOS, the battery charge state was showing not available. I noticed a mismatch as well: software sometimes shows around 80% battery health, but in reality the laptop cannot run on battery power at all.
I also tried removing and reconnecting the battery, but that did not fix the issue.
At this point, I am not sure whether this is a battery failure, charging circuit issue, or something else. If the battery needs replacement, the battery part on the HP website is showing unorderable, so I am also looking for advice on what to do next or where I should check for a replacement(i've attached battery image).
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Can i add another ssd on the empty slot? Also my cpu gets hot like it's between from 80 to 90 degrees.
It is a new laptop so i don't think thermal paste is the problem
What is the highest temperature you have had when on heavy use?
Considering buying HP Victus, specs:
Rtx 5060 80W
24Gb RAM
1 To SSD
Intel Core 7
Ive seen a couple reviews and it seems to run games very well, but I've heard that there's an issue with the hinges, so I checked the laptop physically and noticed that it's true, it's quite wobbly, and I'm worried it might cause issues as I'm planning to keep this laptop for a long time.
What's your experience been with the victus hinges and would you recommend I go for it or look for something else? For example Gigabyte A16 with rtx 5060 and i7 13th gen
Tried to undervolt my 3050 did I do anything wrong?
Been a user of my victus for nearly 4 years to this day. It has never disappointed me until recently it started to throttle under very light gaming.
I have never changed my thermal paste. Is that the reason ? If so can someone guide me on how to do it.
NVIDIA RTX stopped working and the PC cant use it. Causing motherboard to overheat, and doesnt let a game Run fluently
HP denied warranty Help needed to fix it
it does this randomly when i’m just on my computer and it’s a never ending cycle and takes 1minute to 1 hour to get back on sometimes i turn it on and it’s just like this. it’s super frustrating and i would love some help. i’ve tried to get things fixed through windows support but it doesn’t help. sometimes it’s better than others. i’m super willing to answer questions. thank you!
I'm not even playing the game it's just the lobby of pubg and it's pulling 100°c. GPU is chill never crossed 75°c even with full load but the CPU overheats for no reason.
Hello everyone today I updated my HP Victus 15 RTX 4060 Mobile from a 50W VBIOS to a 75W one. These are the current values/results. Do you guys notice anything abnormal? Is there anything specific I should check or monitor? What signs/issues should make me suspicious that something’s wrong?
should wait for the price to comedown, or it is good deal ??? please tell I have 85k budget
Helo guys,
I just my first laptop 2 months ago and now when start my laptop then start automatically and started showning some ads even tho I disable the chrome in the start up apps.
Can anyone help me 🤌
Hey everyone,
The internal display on my HP Victus 15-fb0040AX (GTX 1650 Ti) is having some issues and needs to be replaced. Since I have to do a panel swap anyway, I really want to avoid buying another factory 1080p 45% NTSC screen and upgrade to something much better.
Since the factory 144Hz screen uses a 40-pin eDP connector, I am seriously considering upgrading to a 2K (1440p) panel. The exact model I want to use is the BOE NE156QHM-NY1 (15.6", QHD, 165Hz, 100% DCI-P3).
Because I will likely have to import this panel to Bangladesh via AliExpress or eBay, I want to be 100% sure it works before I spend the money. Has anyone here attempted this?
My main questions:
1. Has anyone successfully used a 2K display on this exact 15-fb motherboard?
2. Does the motherboard actually have all 4 eDP lanes wired to the 40-pin connector to support the 1440p bandwidth, or will it just give me a black screen?
3. Did you run into any issues with BIOS white-lists or losing Windows brightness control?
(Note: I already know the 1650 Ti will struggle with 1440p gaming; I plan to run games at 1080p and use the 2K resolution strictly for coding and media).
Any advice, warnings, or confirmed success stories would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!
Title. Budget is around 650-700€ max so I think this is pretty good for a brand new machine within my budget.
I've been using the HP Victus 15 for five months now, and here's my updated review after thoroughly testing it for gaming, editing, and everyday tasks.
Gaming:
I’ve played several games on ultra graphics settings, and the laptop handles them smoothly.
Editing & Creative Work:
Using Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects has been a breeze.
Everyday Tasks:
For normal workloads like university assignments, Excel, Access, or Word, the laptop performs flawlessly. You can run multiple apps at once with no issues. The keyboard is especially great for tasks like accounting, thanks to the numpad.
For its price, the HP Victus 15 delivers fantastic performance for gaming, editing, and multitasking. The build quality is its only real weakness, but if you handle it carefully, it’s a great option. At this price point, it's an incredible value for what it offers.
Rating: Perfect for those who prioritize performance on a budget, 9.6/10.
On January 1st, my HP Victus suddenly shut down while gaming. No warnings, no overheating, just an instant power-off. I took it to the shop I originally bought it from and they diagnosed it as a motherboard failure. They sent it to HP for official repairs, with an estimated wait time of 45 - 50 days.
So far, I've been waiting for over a month, with around 20 days left until I (hopefully) get it back fully repaired. If you're considering buying this laptop, make sure to keep your warranty active, this failure happened out of nowhere and without a warranty it could have been an expensive fix since this is a laptop with the GPU soldered in. According to the people at the shop, it could have cost the same to buy a replacement for the motherboard as it would've to buy a new laptop completely.
Once I get my laptop back, I’ll update this post with:
✅ Whether the issue was fully fixed
✅ How the repair process went
✅ What to do if your HP Victus suddenly shuts down like mine.
New update as of 2/2/2025:
I've talked to the shop, they told me that the Repair center informed them that the Processor was completely fried from the motherboard. It's a very unfortunate situation but they said they requested a repair a few days back anyway and i'll get new information in the next 10-15 days about if it got repaired or if it's impossible at this point.
TLDR: HP Victus motherboard failed after 5 months of use. Sent for warranty repair (45–50 days wait). Always keep your warranty active!
I know it's kinda empty but still, I'm open to seek some suggestions.
So I recently brought hp victus ryzen 7 7445hs with rtx 4050 and played marvel rivals the cpu hit 100% but the temp didn't cross 80 (77 to be exact) and gpu didn't cross 60°c I limited fps to 60 fps but I was wondering if cpu hitting 100% is okay?
Do you guys generally recommend downloading the game on a Victus?
