With the tree canopy full and nesting almost complete there is a lot bird song and they are harder to find so I have switched to summer mode and going for more Macro shots.

Unfortunately last night it was too cloudy, as they were closer but this is the conjunction of Venus on the right and Jupiter, I had to rotate this 90 degrees to fit Instagrams' layout, But irl Venus was directly above Jupiter. Quick trip out this morning to try and find some rarer birds in the area. The has been a Yellow Breasted Chat on the west side of Hamilton up the mountain where I also got good looks at a Willow Flycatcher. Then Down wo Windemere Basin to see the 2 White Pelicans that have been here all week.

There have been 2 White Pelicans hanging out in Windemere Basin this past week. These are common in Northwestern Ontario and into Manitoba and we do get reports of them every year as they pass through. If you go bring Binoculars as they are well back in the pond.

Went looking for shore birds along Hamilton beach as several species have been reported in the past few days but beach was extremely busty so only found 2 semipalmated plovers

With the forest fully leafed out, it is much harder to get the smaller birds as they are hidden in the canopy. Need to look for residents of different habitats and other wildlife.

Rose Breasted Grosbeaks are back and like many birds the differences between male and females are striking. with the females being a brown camouflage and the males being bright and showy

Little Eastern Screech Owl Found in a wood lot in Oakville. Thanks to the Family that helped us see it as I only had a quick description as to where it was located.
