PvP players need PvE players, not the other way around

I’m a pretty strictly PvE player with ~170hrs topside and 4 raiders knocked out. I’m not against PvP or even extraction camping, I think it’s a perfectly valid way to play the game. If you shoot me I will either smoke and run if I can or just turn and watch as you gun me down. I don’t need my loot that badly tbh. I load in with usually 100k of gear every round and if I lose it I can replace it without any problems. Plus I’m almost exclusively in friendly-ish lobbies so I don’t go down too often.

If Embark decided to do a PvE and PvP lobby version of this game I would jump right into PvE only lobbies and never look back. Personally I think the “but what about the tension bro?” argument is stupid because I don’t feel any tension from PvP. Rats are the same as rocketeers for me.

However I don’t think having two separate modes would be good for the game. Arc raiders should stay a PvPvE game. If you add separate lobbies all the mixed players would leave and they are the majority of the players. Most players aren’t good enough, or unemployed enough, to win and extract with gear or loot often enough from PvP lobbies to play that way all the time. These players need friendly lobbies to restock, hunt big arc, and do missions.

PvE players would miss out on nothing by getting a PvE only map. Streamers and the unemployed would be fine in PvP only maps. Really it’s the majority of players who do both who need “friendly” lobbies some of the time for their games to be fun
