Ring with Australian black opal doublet (top part has broken off) just wondering what the stamp is as I have no idea if this would be okay to get fixed? The flake is a bit of gunk that needs to be cleaned off

Hi all I've had this ring for a while, I'm assuming it is bronze and has no markings. Any research I've tried doing on this ring has come up empty and I'd love to know a little more about it as I'd love this to be passed down to my kiddos
