A long time ago I remember reading in either Prajavani or Vijaya Karnataka about the descendants of the Hoysalas around Tumkur who practice Jainism and also serve as Dharmadhikaris of certain temples there. This fascinating bit of history has stayed with me ever since but I’ve had no luck finding more information. Hoping fellow Reddit history lovers can share any leads or details.
