Hi! I wanna share this experience kasi naalala ko ulit after ng kwentuhan ko with some friends last week.
This happened in June 2013. I was an incoming freshman sa isang Catholic school in Laguna that time. And since hindi ako nakapag decide agad kung saang school ako for college (UPCAT lang kasi ang CET na tinake ko), my mom and I settled for this Catholic school.
It was second week na of June when I enrolled. Naka 1 week na ng klase nung nag enroll ako so when I went to the campus on a rainy afternoon around 3 or 4pm, marami pang tao sa campus, mostly students from BED and college na kakatapos lang ng klase. Dumerecho agad ako sa offices na kailangan ko puntahan for the enrollment. After a few minutes, done na. But since basang basa nga ako dahil sa ulan, I decided na mag stay muna sa campus para matuyo + silipin na rin yung rooms na nakalagay sa enrollment form ko para kinabukasan e hindi ako mahihirapan alamin saan papasok.
While wandering around sa main lobby ng school, may nakasalubong akong girl. Let's call her Anna. Same height kami (5'7), medyo morena siya, and bubbly ang personality. Since 2nd week pa lang ng classes, maraming students ang hindi pa naka uniform pero when I met Anna, she was wearing her uniform na. Anna approached me, asked me kung student daw ba ako sa school. As a naive, innocent freshman before, kinausap ko siya. Wala rin namam akong kakilala sa school so naisip ko na chance ko na to have a friend agad. And doon ko nalaman na same program and year level pa kami. I was really happy. Chikahan kami for how many minutes. Then in the middle of chikahan, she suggested na umakyat kami sa 3rd floor ng main building (kung saan kami nakatambay) para tulungan niya raw ako na tingnan ang rooms namin since alam na niya and para alam ko na rin. I agreed naman kasi plano ko rin yun.
Umakyat na kami sa 3rd floor, dito kasi ang rooms basta under ng Arts and Sciences ang program. Sa mga oras na yon, may iilan pang students sa floor na yon. Yung iba nakatambay, yung iba kakatapos lang ng klase. We checked each room habang nakatingin ako sa enrollment form ko. Siguro it took us 5 minutes sa pagtingin. After that, bumaba na kami and then a few minutes later, need ko na rin umuwi. Sabi ko kay Anna, sabay na kami palabas since may dala siyang payong. Nag yes naman siya pero pupunta raw muna siya sa library to get her stuff and maghintay muna ako sa lobby. I said yes. But almost an hour later, wala nang bumalik na Anna. I think around 5:30 na to and maulan pa naman so madilim na rin sa paligid (ilaw na lang sa ilang facilities sa campus ang open). I decided na lumabas na kasi ang OA ng traffic pauwi lalo na at rush hour.
Pag uwi ko, hinanap ko siya sa FB para sana mag thank you and to check na rin if okay lang ba siya kasi di na siya nakabalik. Pero di ko nakita profile niya. Inisip ko na lang na kausapin siya personally tomorrow since classmates naman kami.
Pagpasok ko kinabukasan, we were 30 or something sa class but there was no Anna. During our first break, I asked my classmates if they have seen Anna or kung bakit siya absent. Tinanong nila ako pabalik ng, "Sinong Anna?". When I heard that, medyo confused ako and obviously, medyo natakot lol so sinabi ko sa kanila what happened the day before and kahit sila confused kasi wala naman daw Anna sa bloc namin. Even sa kabilang bloc ay wala raw. After my encounter with Anna that one rainy afternoon, never ko na siya nakita ulit. It's like she never existed.
My friends would always tell me na baka nag drop or something. But I saw her enrollment form, her school ID, etc. At that moment, she was real. When I became friends with some student leaders and naging close din sa ilang school employees, I had the chance to ask about Anna. Hindi siya kilala ng program reps. Her name didn't appear sa any records. Wala talaga.
I don't know if Anna was a ghost or just a prankster or baka naengkanto ako that day. Pero sa tuwing makikita ko ang lobby or 3rd floor ng school, ibang klaseng kilabot pa rin ang nararamdaman ko kahit ilang taon na mula nang mangyari ito.

What is this livestream that keeps popping up on my feed where girls, including some former MNL members are apart of? I think the name of the page is Red or Redding or something like that. I tried searching about it and saw some fans say it's some kind of an agency (?) where the girls are promised to debut as idols? Not sure if this true.

At first glance, it looks like your ordinary TT livestream. But the more I observe, I can't help but find it slightly weird. It's obvious that the girls consented to be part of it but it still looks and feels like they're being exploited in a way.
Title says it all. I'm a casual listener who used to check them out from time to time but much as I want them to continue, I'm really glad they disbanded and gone for good (at least this PH 48g).
Aside from the obvious messed up management (HHE, P.O.S) and other drama, it's just so irritating and exhausting to see the group's own fandom ridicule them the way they did (and still do). I'm all for shade and funny banter but damn this fandom can come across as borderline c*nt. I don't check the MNL48 tag on X anymore but these people still pop on my feed and all they do is complain. I get it, you're upset or still grieving the group's disbandment but your constant inferiority complex and insult towards the group is straight up tiring. Let the dead rest.
I'll be happy if a new 48g rises in PH but not now.
