A bit late on the pictures from the return trip (that's on me)
It was an adventurous return with the train getting held up by freight traffic, and having to be towed by a csx locomotive to Albany. We ended up getting home 6 hours later than expected. It was our first time being on a train for more than 24 hours.
We added the foam earplugs things to our collection including inflatable pillows and eye masks, That made it an easier nights sleep.
On a positive note, Sylvester, Mylo and the gang hit their 10,000th lifetime rail mile around Batavia, NY, and we look forward to spending the next 10k here with our reddit friends.
Thank you all for your kindness, and we look forward to seeing you on the rails.
Amtrak's favorite hammerhead shark hit the rails again, as he headed back to Chicago aboard the lake shore limited.

We boarded at our home base in SPG, and settled into our roomette. We got to check out an old Pullman car in Albany that was tagging along with us for the trip, and then for dinner The butter chicken and infamous butter cake were excellent.

During the journey Sylvester got to watch some hockey before bed, before decided rest fins for the night.

This time we brought some eye masks and inflatable pillows which made for a better night's rest.

In Chicago we visited the shedd aquarium, aldar planetarium, and walked the street checking out the mag mile.

Have a great day everyone, and can't wait to see you all on the rails

Sorry about the delay, this post is a little late.
Amtrak's favorite hammerhead shark and his owl friends took a trip back up to Vermont and got to spend some time at their favorite weekend chill spot in Burlington VT.
We visited the church street marketplace, got some creemees and he got to relax before his big trip back to the windy city.
Have a great day everyone, see you on the rails soon!
