I’ve been buying up to PCubed for ¥1500 but Plasma is like ¥8-10k 😩
Nebula Romance is still fresh in my mind so I don’t really need that now but come on 😩

I wasn’t sure how to phrase it, but have you ever re-tooled an album’s playlist to help the flow, and/or add different B-sides or remixes?

I’ve never really been into it, I’d rather just take the album as intended… but my recent cosmic exploration has really made me want to fiddle with that album. I haven’t made it yet but I think I’d replace Cling Cling and Flash’s single versions, add Display, Toumei Ningen and Ijiwaruna Hello, and maybe… remove a few tracks?

My cold sleep deep dive continues and I was really looking forward to this - mainly because of nostalgia, amazing cover art (the one with the big faces) and a cool title.

But it’s not really the one 🤨 it feels like a conscious effort to change the sound, which is not bad in itself but it feels like quite generic mid-2010s EDM. And the album versions of the singles feel worse than the single mixes, especially Flash.

If only they’d included Display and Toumei Ningen…

I think I liked it at the time, it was nice to be back in Spira and tying up loose ends. But I started my reply just after a FFX replay and I finally see why everyone was losing it. I thought it was just a misogyny-related thing but the left turn is wild!

It’s like Cowboy Bebop and Charlie’s Angels 2000. Which is not a bad idea but what a weird game.

I haven’t had enough sleep and I’ve just flopped a few times at Gunner’s Gauntlet and got angry so that’s enough for the day, what a hateful mini-game

I’m getting the next part of my deep dive ready, and I’m a bit behind on the live tours/shows. I just got to the Disco!x3 show in Yoyogi National Gymnasium.

I’m told it’s never been released on DVD but I’m watching it on YouTube and it seems to be professionally filmed and has captions for each song, as well as a little montage at the start of their gradually increasing concert venues. But if it wasn’t released, where did this recording come from?

The video I’m watching really went overboard on motion blur effects (maybe to avoid copyright strikes) which might be the cause of it looking really smoky in the venue 😂

Anyway just wondering!

While I’ve been doing my Perfume deep dive, I thought I’d go through the Capsule albums at the same time.

It did make things a bit unbalanced because Capsule were very prolific until around the Level3 era so it’s felt more like a Capsule deep dive than a Perfume one 😂

That being said, I’ve enjoyed almost everything I’ve heard, especially from Fruits Clipper onwards, how about you? I’ve just reached World of Fantasy so I guess I’ll start adding Kyary into the mix from now too (especially as Capsule slowed down a lot in the 2010s)
