Getting HRT as a Foreigner
I think I will be going to QLD for a working holiday. I have heard you don't need proof for being trans in Australia and you just book an appointment with a GP that does informed consent HRT, but I am not entirely sure if this applies to foreigners. Also sorry if it sounds stupid, but I am from a country where you can just walk into any hospital and have am appointment so I am not exactly familiar with Australia's medical system. Thank you in advance!
As a foreigner, do I need documented proof for prior prescription of HRT or the psychological diagnosis papers for proofing I am transgender?
My diagnosis paper has ADHD and ASD(Asperger's) included on it. Would this affect my ability to get HRT?
I heard there is a huge wait list. Would this apply to me as a foreigner? Also, how much time should I expect between an appointment being made and actually visiting the doctor?
