Fun Fact: You can do the dismount rush while mounted

Fun Fact: You can do the dismount rush while mounted

It's especially easy on skyscale because, ya know, Fireball and because it's the act of mounting itself that removes the buff.

How much would it cost to max out on +30 Agony Infusions? A (probably wrong) breakdown

So, I just found out that it's possible to create a +30 Agony Infusion (+30). No one has ever done it (heck, apparently no one has even made a +25), but it is possible, as useless as it is. So, that inevitably begs the question: how much real world money would it cost to fully kit yourself out in +30 Agony Infusions?

So, a full kit has a total of 25 infusion slots available:
4 from weapons (2 from each set)
4 from underwater weapons (2 from each)
1 from rebreather
6 for armor (1 per armor piece)
2 from back item
2 from accessories (1 per accessory)
6 from rings (3 per ring)

Easy part done. Now we know that we will need twenty-five +30s.

So, to create a single +30 we need:
536,870,912 +1 Agony Infusions
536,870,911 Thermocatalytic Reagents

Luckily for us, the wiki conveniently says how much the reagents will cost (for one +30):
536,870,911 Thermocatalytic Reagents for 8,031,588 gold, 82 silver, 68 copper (8031588.8268g)

So, all we do is multiply that by 25 to get:
13,421,772,775 Thermocatalytic Reagents for 200,789,720 gold, 71 silver, 50 copper (200789720.715g)

Easy! Thanks Guild Wars 2 wiki!

Now for the annoying part, the +1 Agony Infusions.

This is a bit tricky since the price can change a bit and it obviously depends on how many people are selling and at what price. At the time that these calculations were done (not necessarily when this was posted), the seller price was 20 copper (0.002g). Since this is a nice and easy round number, that's what I'm going to use.

So, at that rate, it's some simple multiplication for what we need (for one +30):
536,870,912 x 0.002 = 1,073,741 gold, 82 silver, 40 copper (1073741.824g)

Now, we multiply that again by 25 to get:

13,421,772,800 +1 Agony Infusions for 26,843,545 gold, 60 silver (26843545.6g)

So now add the two totals together:
26,843,545.6g + 200,789,720.715g = 227,633,266 gold, 31 silver, 50 copper (227633266.315g)

So now, we have the last piece of the puzzle, converting that to US dollars using the currency exchange. We will once again be using the rate that was available at the time of the calculations (from gw2tp).

$1 = 80 gems = 23 gold, 58 silver, 40 copper (23.584g)

Now, it's one more equation to get us what we need:
227,633,266.315 / 23.584 = 9,652,021.129367368

Rounding that up to the nearest cent, we get the result of:

$9,652,021.13

So yes, in order to kit out yourself entirely in +30 Agony Infusions it will cost $9.6 million ~ $9.7 million.

To make this even more insane, as far as I can tell there is nowhere close to enough +1s on the market nor enough gold on the exchange to actually make this possible. This also does not take into account that +1s would most certainly become more expensive and that gold would, too. There are a few cost cutting measures that weren't taken into account as well, such as bulking the Reagents since it's an uneven number. I just used the easier to access data. There's also a good chance that I messed something up somewhere. Oh well.

I hope you had fun, and if you happen to have $10 million you want to throw away, why don't you just kit yourself out in +30s? You'd make history!
