First three songs are healing.

Basically this. I literally feel I’m being pampered and accepted and pushed further as a better person- this. Madonna has already done it twice in my life (Ray of light and American life) and now again? How? Mutha… love

Are you going to consume it all on Friday or are you giving it time till the weekend ?

I personally am going to give it a try (unsuccessfully) till weekend, cause i always work apart of Sundays. How about you guys? I also ordered 3/4 different vinyls, since I have a fantastic system to listen them too. But I’m old enough not to lie to myself this time 😅

American Life - why is it not universally loved?

I looooved the album the second it came out. I’m a ray of light fan, music was ok, but American Life made me a huge fan of Madonna. How come this album is not majorly adored?

Edit: I must mention I come from the ex USSR; should it be a part of the descriptive acceptance of this album? All of my guys were in love❤️ with Hollywood, American Life

Edit 1: for a lot of my friends the quote „this bird has flown“ means a lot

Edit 2: her songwriting was on top of it’s game, the vulnerability of some lyrics was just insane

Tracks 9-17 is a perfection of a song run

Basically the first sentence. it’s so good as it runs, I don’t remember the last album I wanted to listen to in a string of songs and not separately, maybe it was Vulnicura, but that’s basically all as of recently. 9 songs in a row being fantastic, how is it even possible? thank you Tori!

For me it’s a masterpiece. And the first and only song I listened to from the new album (apart of the singles). Coming from a country where too many young men die for the war nobody wants. This part of the lyrics clicked immediately. I myself listen to only music mostly, including Toris voice, since English is not my native language - and this piece mesmerised me and took me whole in… I am so engaged in the new era.

Edit: Veins-Strawberry Moon is so beautiful, I love the laughter inbetween, so sweet and I can just feel how Tash supports her Mom and they have fun together
