Just wondering if the faded clear can be fixed or would it warrant a repaint or re clear? (It’s the entire passenger quarter panel and trunk trim)

Hey everyone.
On my 2006 s2000, every time I move from a stop or take my foot off the gas while moving (either or shift or brake) I hear a tick noise coming from my rear (possibly passenger side).
It’s a single tick and then doesn’t happen again till I hit the gas or take my foot off the gas again.
I had a shop check my axle bit and they said they retightened it but the sound still hasn’t gone away. (I’m probably going to check and retighten myself to make sure)
Wondering if anyone has other thoughts on what it could be?
Car is modded (supercharger, just installed new ohlin coilovers, bbk front and urge rear rotors)
