Are Naafiri and Xin Zhao currently the strongest 3 role flex picks in the game?

Hi.

I would like to know whether Naafiri and Xin Zhao are currently the strongest 3 role flex picks in the game? I just checked from Lolalytics website and both of them have very high tiers. Naafiri has S+ tier in top, jungle and mid and Xin Zhao has S+ tier in jungle and mid and S tier in top. Does this mean that these two are the strongest flex picks in current meta?

Any insight is appreciated!

Are champion that can alternate between leveling up specific ability stronger than those champions that can only level up one of their abilities?

Hi.

I would like to know whether champions that can alternate between maxing out specific ability are stronger, than those champions that are enforced to always choose only one specific ability to be maxed out?

Let's take Singed as example. On Singed the only ability worthwhile maxing out is his Q, which is his main damage source, but what about Olaf? Olaf usually levels up his Q, but in theory, could Olaf max out his W or E if the player wanted to?

I'm curious what other champions can alternate between leveling up one of their abilities? I mainly play top lane, so some champion that is viable in that role/position.

Any insight is appreciated!

Why is ADC roster so small but top roster is so massive?

Hi.

I would like to know / would like for someone to explain to dumb person like me, why is ADC roster so small but top roster is so massive? Top roster has 53 champions in total while ADC roster has only 28 champions in total when including champions that have higher than 0.99% pick rate. Are ADC champions perhaps harder to design for Riot? I can't think of any other reason.

For anyone curious about other roles / positions, jungle has 47 champions in total, mid has 46 champions in total and support has 39 champions in total (again, higher than 0.99% pick rate).

Sorry for any mistakes, English isn't my native language.

Why mage ADC's are so much stronger than traditional ADC's?

Hi.

I would like to know / would like for someone to explain to dumb person like me, why are mage ADC's so much stronger than "traditional ADC's", and by traditional I mean AD-based bot-laners.

  • Brand has 54.21% win rate (sample size 295K)
  • Karthus has 53.93% win rate (sample size 69K)
  • Swain has 53.46% win rate (sample size 237K)
  • Xerath has 53.41% win rate (sample size 75K)
  • Veigar has 53.38% win rate (sample size 225K)
  • Aurelion Sol has 53.28% win rate (sample size 102K)
  • Vel'Koz has 53.28% win rate (sample size 76K)
  • Viktor has 53.22% win rate (sample size 27K)
  • Hwei has 52.89% win rate (sample size 75K)
  • Seraphine has 52.85% win rate (sample size 98K)
  • Vladimir has 52.16% win rate (sample size 64K)
  • Lux has 51.82% win rate (sample size 116K)
  • Heimerdinger has 51.79% win rate (sample size 26K)
  • Ziggs has 51.64% win rate (sample size 368K)
  • Syndra has 51.64% win rate (sample size 25K)

That means that mage ADC's average win rate is 52.86%, but traditional ADC's average win rate is 49.68%, that is 3.18% difference, which is massive. So what gives? Why are they so much stronger?

Any insight is appreciated!

What is causing Smolder's win rate to drastically increase between patches 26.8 and 26.9?

Hi.

I would like to know / would like for someone to explain to dumb person like me, why has Smolder’s win rate increased so drastically between patches v26.8 and v26.9? In patch v26.8 Smolder had 51.62% win rate, but in patch v26.9 he had 54.73% win rate, that is 3.11% increase. (In current patch he has 55.91% win rate). As far as I know Smolder hasn't received any buffs in a long time. Does anyone here know what is causing this sudden increase in win rate?

Any insight is appreciated!

Why is mid Neeko so unpopular?

Hi.

I would like to know / would like for someone to explain to dumb person like me, why is mid Neeko is so unpopular? Support Neeko has 2.46% pick rate, but mid Neeko has only 0.45% pick rate. Wasn't Neeko originally meant to be mid-laner? Her mid lane win rate is 49.84% and her support win rate is 48.16%, so she is slightly better as mid-laner rather than support. On Russian server in Master+ she has 1.78% pick rate and in Iron she has 1.22% pick rate, but outside Russian server she has less than 1% pick rate on every other server. I used Lolalytics website as source.

Hi.

I would like to know whether AP Yorick is viable in ranked solo queue? I did some calculations and according to my estimate, only 0.93% of all Yorick players build him full AP. Win rates on AP Yorick range from 41.86% to 60.19%. According to League Wiki Yorick's E ability deals AP damage. I couldn't find information on whether Yorick's Maiden deals magic or physical damage. I assume that Mist Walkers do AD damage, but I'm not 100% sure about that either.

Any insight is appreciated!

Hi.

I would like to know / would like for someone to explain to dumb person like me, what is causing the increase in top lane Anivia's pick rate?

I've noticed recently by browsing on Lolalytics website that top Anivia's pick rate has slowly but steadily grown from 0.27% to 0.95%, which means that top Anivia's pick rate has almost quadrupled. Her win rate is 52.10%. That data is between patches 26.1 and 26.9, that is 399 000 ranked matches.

Does anyone know what is causing this increase in popularity?

Here is a list of top Anivia's pick rates:

  • v26.1 = 0.27%
  • v26.2 = 0.31%
  • v26.3 = 0.32%
  • v26.4 = 0.35%
  • v26.5 = 0.41%
  • v26.6 = 0.42%
  • v26.7 = 0.57%
  • v26.8 = 0.67%
  • v26.9 = 0.95%

Hi.

I would like to know / would like for someone to explain to dumb person like me, what exactly happened to Maokai's and Poppy's top lane presence?

Top used to be their most popular role, but these days support is their most popular role. In fact, 72.3% of all Maokai players play him in the support role and 51.5% of all Poppy players play her in the support role. Only 15.3% of all Maokai players play him in the top lane and only 31.8% of all Poppy players play her in the top lane.

Both Maokai and Poppy have positive win rates in the top lane, so they are definitely viable there, but for some reason their top lane popularity has dropped significantly. So what gives?

Any insight is appreciated!
