[Question][pictures] Pruning shears found, would like info and help

Found these 6-8" deep in my back yard, which was farmland through the late 1800s. My house was built in 1900. They appear to be pruning shears with a leaf spring and a threaded post.

I've done an Evapo-Rust soak and a vinegar bath, which got all the dirt off. I haven't found a maker's mark yet, but the heavy pitting may have erased one.

Any leads on a maker, or a rough age estimate?

I was planning another 24 hours in Evapo-Rust, but I'm open to any restoration suggestions.

Thanks in advance!
