Never been 100% satisfied with my first tattoo (13 years old); what would be the best approach here?
I got my first tattoo 13 years ago, but I’ve never been 100% happy with how it turned out. For one, the entire piece is slanted i.e., you can see the difference in distance from the bottom of the lettering under one nipple vs. the other nipple). The word “Let” especially the capital “L” is written atrociously. I feel as if he added way too many unnecessary squiggles to try and make the gap in the words less noticeable. And finally the roses make the whole thing feel out of proportion. The one above the word “Happen” is much wider than the first one. But the roses are the least of my worries—I’m mostly just interested in getting the wording covered up. My main concern is that the lettering is not necessarily poorly done—which makes me think that this is going to require some fading beforehand. Or at least the process is going to require some additional steps.
Do you think covering this up is going to be particularly difficult? Any ideas for a total coverup (cover both lettering and the roses) vs a coverup of just the lettering,
