Hi everyone, I am looking for yukata, both for me and my husband. I was in Kyoto for a quick stop but sadly I have seen only touristy places which usually rent them, some sell them but the quality was pretty low. I would like to purchase something made from a good fabric (cotton at least) and not synthetic fibers. I will be in Kagoshima in the next days and then in Tokyo. Do you have any recommandation about it? I would like to buy them new, not second hand. Thank you so much for any advice!

Hi everyone, I am planning my 2weeks- trip to Japan in October. We decided to spend 4days in the islands but I am uncertain which one I should pick. Budget apart, I am looking for a " slow life japanese experience" and we would like just to relax and see some beaches and try local food, not a fan of hiking or wild experience. Just simple things. The purpose of those days will be to take it easy, to avoid particularly touristy sites and to enjoy time as "local tourists". I do not know if I explained myself. I would be happy to hear any advice or experience which will help me to decide. I have read that Okinawa is more touristy and less sea life, and ishigaki is more wild but has a bigger cities with better restaurants but miyakojima has better beaches. I moved in Switzerland because my husband works and lives there. I have a permit B and I work for another EU country. My employer still has to pay for may insurance and future pension in my original country. Now they (switzelran) told me that I have to pay also health insurance in Switzerland. I would love to ask if I should also pay for AVS.
