I’ve found some from the 1910s, but the compacts are closed, so I can’t see whether they contain loose or pressed powder, or whether they have a mirror.
I also can’t find any solid evidence that compact powders existed in the 1900s. I’m specifically looking for advertisements or other reliable evidence from 1900–1909 showing an actual powder compact.
Any help finding examples or sources would be greatly appreciated!
