If you did your journey abroad, when did you arrive, before the due date or only after the baby was born? How did you plan it with work?

How long did you stay after the birth? How long did the legal paperwork take before you were able to fly home? Were there any unexpected delays?

Our surrogate is already 30 weeks pregnant, so we're starting to think about traveling home with a newborn.
