Almost had a heat stroke shooting in 100 degree weather. Was worth it though 😂

LPWS island boy vs TTI viper

I had the opportunity to compare the TTI Viper with my LPWS variant 11.5. Just to note upfront, I have been shooting shotgun sports pretty exclusively for a couple of years, so my pistol grip is not the best. Nevertheless, I believe my lack of solid fundamentals and grip highlights the difference between the two guns well.

Overall, I am happy to learn that the variant 11.5 is a much softer and flatter gun to shoot. I like how the gun fits in my hand, and there is no hotspot except for a spot below the trigger guard. In comparison, the TTI Viper seems oddly narrow to me, and there is some hotspot near the safety.

That said, the TTI Viper was a superior gun in terms of the fit and finish. The slide action was noticeably smoother on the TTI Viper, while the variant 11.5 still is in its break in period, as I have only about 300 rounds through it. As a result, I can still feel some hang up in the barrel lug. Additionally, the trigger and safeties felt much lighter and crisper on the TTI Viper. The variant 11.5's trigger and safeties, while tightly fitted, felt sluggish in comparison. I am hoping that these too would see some improvement after extended use.

One thing to particularly note on the TTI Viper was its magwell and funnel. It was very forgiving, and I was able to insert the magazine even when I intentionally inserted it at an off angle, whereas with the variant 11.5, that would have caused a jam. This was one difference I was really jealous of.
