i printed this Star Wars ship at angled at 45 degrees on my Centauri Carbon. I angled it at 45 degrees with 0.12mm layers.

The whole ship looked great except that on the front of the fins/wings (which were the topmost part printed) I got increasing spiderwebbing across the gap starting partway up and getting worse and worse as it approached the tip and the layers got smaller and smaller

Would adjusting the Minimum Layer Time help or would it be some other setting?

Fortress’ latest newsletter is reporting that the upcoming Starter/Core Box/Core Rulebook releases, which were originally expected to release together now seem to be releasing separately with the Starter Box on track for release on August 12th, the Core Rulebook seemingly headed for Late September, and no firm date for the Core Box but possibly Late September/Early October

If you pre-ordered two or more items from them, check out their customer survey they just sent out in their newsletter (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeA9vbt4-zQ7lbIIctPFH_jqph5nz2u85rorvdINlDU0d5tGA/viewform) so you can specify if you want your order held until everything is available to ship all at once or if you want them shipped as they become available (for an additional shipping cost)

EDIT: Also, due to the increasing price of tin, the cost of IWM mechs will be increasing from $2-$5 each at Fortress over the next few weeks so if you were waiting to pick up anything IWM, now might be a good time

This is a company of Stormhammers’ Lyran Rangers This took me quite a while to finish. Not so much in the painting but in forcing myself to work on them. Overall, I’m really happy with them. Hopefully I’ll soon see how they do in the Scouring Sands campaign!

I found a used copy of the 2nd Edition Starter set at my LGS a couple weeks ago and I finally got the chance to get it to the table!

My gf and I played a few games. She played rebels for two game while I played Empire before switching for the last game. The game was ton of fun despite the dice absolutely hating me. I’ve already bought a ton more stuff to play bigger games in the near future!

I finally decided to start revisiting an old idea I kinda just vomited out at the end of last year.

That previous post wasn't so much as a game map as it was a map with a roughly-to-scale hex grid overlaid. This new WIP isn't exactly much more than that but I have started to block in some elevations towards the bottom.

For this map, I'm using the illustrated map of Central Park by Ken Chaya and Edward S Barnard. For elevation reference I am using a topographical map generated from the US Geological Survey. Unfortunately, I haven't found a Central Park map at high enough resolution to make this ideal for printing. Right now I'm working with a resolution of about 7700x1700.

The USGS map isn't exactly the easiest to read at this scale since the map it generates covers a much larger area so this isn't going to be 100% exact. I'm using 50ft elevation as my Elevation 0 and changes of around 20ft as 1 level.

This is definitely going to take a while to just block in the elevations, to say nothing of the features like water depth, woods, buildings, and roads.
