How common are "community" moves? What are your favorites?

By that, I just mean they don't come choreographed with the dance. But they seem to be moves (mostly arm moves but sometimes others) where a sizeable chunk of people know them, and you just have to pick them up. Some examples:

American Kids: house shape with arms, cradling baby, leaning back in the driver's seat (shouting out certain lyrics, yes this isn't a "move")

Country Girl Shake: wave hands like a dandelion

Tequila Floor: squat drop/death drop

Shivers: shoulder shimmy

Rude Dude: shootout

Super sexy: worm

Others include sections where you clap continuously (cha cha caliente for one) or holding up a drink (going hamm, any song that mentions drinking/a cup)

Is this just a thing in my dance bubble, or is it common in other places? I see a lot of YouTube videos where people seem to be dancing very plainly. At my spot, it tends to be very over the top and people add lots of moves to the songs.

155(ish?)lb Aug 2024 / 123lb May 2026

The 1st picture is a bit older than when I really started making an effort to lose weight, but this was roughly my body from 2021-2025. HW was 165 in 2022. Not only did covid wreck my eating habits, but my depression absolutely peaked during that time as well. In May 2025 something just clicked and I knew I had to change. I started recieving treatment for my depression/ADHD with bupropion. I logged everyday at around 1300 cal with hardly any exercise. By January of this year I was at about 135lb and decided to start lifting a bit at the gym (roughly 2 days/week) and going on walks every day I could. About 5/7 days I'm walking around 8,000 steps. I eat at around 1400-1500 cal now which is an extremely slow loss. I'm eating more protein as well to supplement the lifting.

I like being able to walk up my apartment stairs without getting winded. I like being able to walk and hike more easily. I like being able to jump and dance with my preschoolers and not be out of breath.
