Green Compute For Nepali Nationals from the Local Governments Eligible.
We're pleased to announce the pilot rollout of the Green Compute Carbon Offset Mechanism across the listed participating municipalities.
Eligible citizens with verified citizenship from these municipalities may access Green AI Compute Tokens at a subsidized rate, representing approximately a 90% discount made possible through our Green Compute initiative and the support of participating partners.
These are AI compute tokens designed to provide access to sustainable computing resources. They are not carbon credits, do not represent ownership of carbon offsets, and cannot be traded or claimed as carbon credits.
This pilot is being conducted as part of the baseline data collection and verification stage in accordance with Nepal's Carbon Trading Regulations, 2082 (2025). The objective of this phase is to establish the required baseline data and verification framework for the project, as required under Nepal's regulatory framework for climate and carbon projects. No carbon credits are being generated or issued during this pilot stage.
Eligibility
• Citizenship from one of the listed participating municipalities
• Proof of citizenship required
• Email: contact@carbonupdates.com
Due to operational capacity during the pilot, only 300 eligible registrations will be accepted each month.
By participating, eligible citizens help establish the verified baseline necessary for future climate initiatives while gaining affordable access to Green AI Compute Tokens through this pilot program. This initiative represents an important step toward transparent, verifiable, and community-focused digital climate infrastructure aligned with Nepal's evolving climate and carbon regulations.
