My favorite campsite on IR is actually on a separate island! I’ve seen some really nice northern lights shows here, amazing star gazing, and of course some of my most favorite sunrises. Last weekend I had one of those sunrises while on a 5 day trip. Absolutely love this shot!
Forgot to post my favorite photos from my trip last month to the island on our Hewescraft fishing boat. This Thursday I head back for another 5 days on the far northwest side of the island! See a blue Hewescraft? Come say hello and ask for Doug!
Heading back to the island next weekend with our big Great Lakes boat. This will be trip #26 for us in our vessel to the island and I always get so excited prior to each trip. We will be on far northwest side again, near McCargoe, Belle Isle, Amaygaloid area so if you see a blue boat like in the first photo come say hello and ask for Doug! It’s nice to have single exposures look great from time to time without having to do stacking, blending, or the other fun (but time consuming) post processing things! Taken on my Sony a7RV paired with a 10mm 2,8 Artisan lens which allowed me to get the entire overhead view! Near Paxson, AK USA from this past February.
From the shores of Lake Superior near Grand Portage, MN a few weeks ago I got this really fun shot! The ice piled up on the shore looked like a bunch of pieces of crystal and added to the shot, with the lovely Core rising over the icy waters.
