Another small imponderable. Talk me through this.

Metro sling max. Viewing from the front

Front pocket opens with a single zipper left to right.

Inside that pocket is another zip pocket, with a nice pull loop. But …

It opens right to left.

Result in practice - the pull tab constantly gets caught in the front pocket zipper.

Second, You have to open the front pocket entirely to get even minimal access to the inside zipper pocket.

The more of their products I buy the more of these, to me, odd choices I see made. Like they don’t try the bags before going to production.

Tell me wheat I’m missing and why the way they did it is right and I’m wrong. It seems way too obvious to miss, so I must be. It’s a quick access pocket and this tiny little thing makes it pretty annoying, on an otherwise nice bag, super fast weirdo key leash non withstanding.

6’4 / 194cm - struggling to find the right edc.

TL;DR - Really appreciate your advice and I’ve got key requirements below to pair with height considerations. Additional info below that if it’s helpful! No Bellroy backpack will work for me it seems.

Requirements* *
* good admin panel
* decent organisation
* good sternum strap
* padded straps that don’t feel like they’re neck pinchers at my height.
* not a back sweat factory
* can be taken to work in business casual or worn with shorts, I’m not a big fan of the aesthetics of the super rubbery bags.
* would be nice if I can under pack it and smoosh into Ryanair personal
* self standing is a solid requirement.

FWIW I’m also 175 ish lbs. IIRC my attempt at a torso measurement was only 54/55 cm. I’m looking to carry up to 15 lbs ish.

Some colour on two of my bags if it’s helpful

Latest bag - Bellroy venture ready 26L
- the straps are just not comfortable

- the top pocket can’t take any weight without flopping around

- the sternum strap doesn’t feel like it has enough room for movement for the strap positions I’d need.

I liked the looks but functionality sucks for me. It’s far too floppy and a hero clip to hang it hasn’t been as convenient as I thought.

Bag I like but isn’t right for this - pgytech on mo (go I think) 35-45

- too bulky for edc and doesn’t have the kind of org I want for this task

- It does have removable waist straps that work well but likely won’t be necessary on a smaller bag.

- I find this bag quite comfortable even heavily loaded

Whats up with the keychain vs hub vs useful.

TL;DR I really like a lot this company does but I’m confounded by what seems time to be a terrible idea on what people want in keychains / tethers. Maybe I don’t get it and my info is bad. In which case I’m all ears (eyes). At the very least make it removable (again to me

They sell the hub system, but it may be done (maybe bad YouTube info, can’t remember). For me the hub system is not super necessary and it’s way too expensive for what I’d get out of it.

Then They seek to be loading their recent bags with a non removable thick lanyard that has a massive fob type element, which works poorly with a keychain management setup like pouches for orbit key, etc , and in all the bags I’ve seen they position it awfully, eg metro max straight down the middle leaving something to scratch your phone even when disconnected. .

The hub system isn’t compatible with that magnetic system is it? Can they be interchanged?

Another try, like the linked bag, but better quality and no flap.

Alright bag experts, still looking for the right sized summer cross body, and came across this bag on Amazon. It’s not the thing I’m looking for, but it’s the idea of the thing I’m looking for.

Size looks good, canvas, good but others fine (no leather)

Ideally I’d like no flap

Organisation seems fine for what I need but I’m not opposed to more.

Any thoughts?
