A bath of Starlings
Starlings have only just been coming to the garden in the last three weeks! They've figured out the treasure trove of a bird bath is, in fact here.

This wee chap came for a drink a few times, and actually shared the bird bath with a small number of Great Tits and Blue Tits (never one to share peanuts, sunflower hearts or suet pellets though of course!).
Staging a food/eating protest because I didn't refill the suet pellets!
I like to call them Tiger birds due to their lovely stripes!
I've been enjoying the beautiful blueish chaos of a new Nuthatch family in the trees next to the house for a few days now and the juveniles were bold enough to land in the garden today. Very briefly I will add, not aided by strong wind gusts.
This was their very first bath about a week ago, and the Blue and Great Tit fledglings have been using it almost non stop since.
My favourite of the Tit family! (The Cresties are cool, but I love the Coals).
This is actually the second dip (and clip) as a Great Tit interrupted the first bath!
I do love these tiny birds - you always hear them but rarely see them.
Possibly feeding a juvenile here? Apologies it's not super clear and there's no sound as I record in 0.5x (helps me learn and see features and behaviours better).
Bertie, and his partner Beatrice have succeeded for a second year in bringing me the most gorgeous babies. Last year I only first saw the fledglings in July, so I was rather ecstatic to see these two younglings this week!
