Who's your favorite post-conciliar pope? Mine has to be St. Paul VI

Despite all the valid criticism, you cannot overlook how saintly this man was in life, even if he was sorrounded by less than favorable circumstances.

In the case of a Church fire, would we prioritize saving the people or the sacred species?

so TIL about the Iglesia de la Compañía Fire in Chile. An incident that killed thousands of women and children who were trapped inside after the altar caught fire.

One of the points of criticism for the priests was that, when the fire broke out, they retreated into the sacristy to save the church's treasure and escaped unharmed.

So this left me wondering, if we were in such an incident, would we try to save the tabernacle for instance or each other?

Happy memorial to St. John Fisher!

In 1535, John Fisher was the sole bishop to openly oppose King Henry's false annulment and his seperation with Rome. Like John the Baptist, he defended the sanctity of marriage and paid dearly for it. A saint for our times, John Fisher, pray for us!

Nothing is more terrifying and dread inducing than realizing that the priest did not prepare at all and your about to sit through 20 minutes of rambling

Happy sunday!

Happy (late) feast day of the sacred heart! (Take that Jansenists!)

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods.
His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the Lord of lords:
His love endures forever.
