lakonisch
I'm the very model of a gender abolitionist
Hey look at me, I'm a gender abolitionist! I believe in:
- AGAB socialisation
- dysphoria kind of being a mental illness :\ like, not AGP or ROGD or something like that but more like, internalized body shaming or something
- men being kinda inherently evil ngl
- transitioning lowkey being sexist because it enforces gender norms. At the same time if you're AMAB and you're not transitioning medically, you're still a man.
- btw, I simply don't see gender 🥰
Thanks for coming to my TED talk :)
/uj What's with these people. To be fair, I came up in a fairly "undoing gender" kind of feminist environment and I still have a soft spot in my heart for the vision. But I feel like these people put the cart before the horse, "I don't see colours"-style, and then make every possible concession to TERFs and liberals. I think that what these people fail to see is that things like transitioning are the acts through which gender is abolished. The act of changing your sex is what defaces the naturalization of sex and is proof to both the existence of a social and political enforcement of sex and to the possibility of a subversion of said enforcement. So it is the exact opposite of what these people make it out to be.
I think it is a bit like the conservative caricature of a trans person: Abolishing gender by speech act, when in reality, trans people are abolishing gender everyday by simply existing as trans people.
I'm not saying that there is no grief in that, for me there definitely is - that one's existence alone is political. At the same time, I view that as a function of the sex regime, not of transness itself.
Is there any future for abolishing gender? Both genuine responses and jerks appreciated

Or at least most aligned with that sect?
Kopfgeburt, die
laut DWDS:
No more lands T2
Requirements: Have the first seven cards in hand and draw an untapped blue source in your first or second draw step
- T1, play [[Ancient Tomb]], tap to play [[Grim Monolith]], pass and hope your opponents put some permanents on the battlefield
- T2, play an untapped blue source and tap all your permanents for mana, giving you 5U
- Play [[Urn of Godfire]] and activate its first ability once for U, giving you 2UU
- Enchant your Grim Monolith with [[Power Artifact]] using UU and untap it with the remaining 2. Boom! Infinite mana of any colour
- Play [[Tourach's Chant]]
- Play [[Doppelgang]]. Unfortunately, it needs at least X distinct targets and you only have 5 permanents in play. But, perhaps you have one opponent and they played two lands and a creature, bringing the total to 8. So you can cast Doppelgang X=8, giving you 9 copies of Tourach's Chant. You can also throw in [[Eternal Witness]] to loop back the Doppelgang, but that then requires you to draw your blue source T1
- Play [[Explore]], drawing [[Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth]] and play it
Now, anyone who plays a land will get hit for 27, only being able to lower this somewhat when they send whatever creatures they have to the yard. This includes you, but luckily you have infinite mana anyway :)
Edit: I completely missed that this only works in Commander as you'll dome yourself for 27 by playing Yavimaya. Thanks for the catch u/heretolurk613!
Edit 2: It does not seem to be so easy after all. As per u/Ansixilus' comment, a continuous effect like that of Yavimaya can only be generated by an object on the battlefield, so the effect seems to be technically not present yet at the time Yavimaya enters?
Edit 3: It seems to trigger after all https://www.reddit.com/r/mtgrules/comments/1vpuht9/question_about_continuous_effect_timing_rules_and/ (per rule 611.3)
Decided to do a more hopeful sequel to my previous meme about Heaven. Hope this makes y'all feel better!
düpieren
Laut Duden:
After divorcing early and some time spent on her own, a young woman enters the dating market, looking to marry again.
However, even after months, she doesn't have any success. Frustrated as she is, her brother decides to take her to a bar for a break from dating and a bit of lighthearted fun.
Inevitably, at the end of the evening, the conversation returns to her ill luck in the dating scene.
"It surely can't be that bad", her brother consoles her, "somewhere out there has to be the one!"
"You don't understand!", the woman sighs. "All the men that are caring, understanding, sweet, that are gainfully employed and you wouldn't worry to introduce to our parents.... That have charm, a smile to blow you away and the looks to go with it.... They all already have a husband!"
