This lamp was hanging low enough that we kept bumping our heads into it. I used a midshipman's to raise it up a bit. How would you have handled this?
ETA: This is in a rental, so modifying it wasn't an option, IMO. Hence the kludge.

It's road trip season, and I'd like a mobile radio setup that I can add to two vehicles temporarily. I travel with various groups and I'm the one "radio guy". Rather than get "mobile" radios, I figure using handheld transceivers is more versatile, at the cost of power. Looking for your experiences and words of wisdom.
