Thermostat Turns Off

Our old thermostat completely lost power, which its original to unit so about 19 years old. We bought new one and installed it.

Power came on for about an hour and then shut off again. HVAC guy came out and was convinced new thermostat was a dud. Husband asked him to check drain lines and transformer. Tech then said to replace entire unit.

We replaced transformer and thermostat worked great for past 3 days and now suddenly lost power again. Husband has been cleaning drain lines and hoping that fixes it and it hasn’t yet.

Any idea where else we should inspect?

Salt slime?

This salt like texture "slime" came in a dinosaur toy and my son LOVES it. Any recommendations on who sells this kind? I've looked online but haven't found it yet.
