I went back in the month of May '26 in the last week. Delhi to Rishikesh, Rishikesh to Sagar village. Started trek from Sagar Village, stayed in camp in Luiti Bugyal then continued trek the next day to Rudranath Temple.
 If you’ve ever felt the pull of the mountains — this one is different. This is not your usual temple visit. Rudranath, the fourth of the Panch Kedar, sits at 3,549 metres in the heart of Chamoli district, deep inside a wilderness that most people never see. Lord Shiva’s face — his mukha — is worshipped here. Only here. The trek from Sagar village winds through bugyals so green they don’t look real, through forests that feels ancient, through silence so thick you can hear your own heartbeat. It is remote. It is raw. It is, without doubt, the most untouched of all five Kedars. Every year the snows melt, the rhododendrons bloom, and the trail slowly comes alive again with the sound of Har Har Mahadev.
