Term Life Insurance, your recommendations please!

Looking into term life insurance policies. I've relied on having it as a work benefit but I'm going to opt out when open enrollment comes around in lieu something more permanent. I don't have plans to have kids but I have a lot of family who I'd like to take care of in the event of my demise.

Any recs? I'm not sure if it's region specific but if it helps I'm a Bay Area resident. Thank you!

($16K) Dress secured for $866 from a sample sale!

I did some research late last year when we started planning and my main requirement for a dress was natural fibers only. I noticed only a few brands from Anthropologie Weddings that had silk gowns and one of them is headquartered in my state and puts out their samples every first Thursday of the month. Because Mother’s Day is this weekend I had my mother in law and my mom come out and watch me try on dresses. It was the first time they met and they really got along, which I’m happy about!

This was in the works for so long. I was stalking the website for months making sure the dress I was most interested in was still in stock. I tried on 6 dresses and I happened to walk out in the style I had been following! Could not have been more seamless. The retail price if I had gotten it custom was $3K and I got it for $866 including tax. I will need alterations but I’m absolutely pumped. I was expecting the boutique to be very busy but we were the only ones in the place so I got all the focus. My moms enjoyed themselves and took tons of photos.

I’m just shook that the first dress I found and liked and got to try on at the only bridal boutique I visited was available for such a low cost after 1.5 hours of trying dresses on and that my moms got to be there to support me! Sometimes things work out really well. :)
