Doesn't make any sense
I need to vent plus some understanding why this is happening. Bear with me this is a long story.
I moved to a small town in the mid eastern part of the country 6 yrs ago from a large city in the southwest. I keep to myself and don't like engaging with most ppl due to being from a large city.
Across the street from my house the neighbors are about 10 yrs younger than me married has 2 kids in highschool I think. It's just me & my boyfriend. From the beginning I was polite when the wife would glare at me I'd smile back. She'd just stare and give me dirty looks. The last year it escalated. Whenever I come home or when me and my boyfriend come home she's home within minutes. At 1st I thought I was being paranoid but it happens all the time now. When I leave she leaves. When we're out running errands/shopping we run into her almost all the time now & her giving me a dirty looks when I pass her on the road. Almost deliberately. I almost think that she has either a ring or some form of camera that's motion activated in her front yard because it doesn't make sense how I can come home and within minutes she's home or I walk out to my car and within minutes she's walking out to her car. I've had to park in the backyard to avoid the dirty looks/stares. If I'm in the back yard washing the car ect. she drives by at least a few times to stare. The other day I came home when I was pulling in the driveway she was backing out. When she realized I just came home she drove by staring so hard I couldn't help it I started laughing, she slammed on her breaks pulled in our neighbors driveway turned around and came back by then I was walking to my front door she got out and said something(I couldn't hear what she said). I stopped and just stood there with my hands out she slowly walked in her house but didn't say anything else since I was standing there looking at her, like what you got something to say. Then I started laughing & went inside.
My Son came and spent the wknd with us. When he was getting ready to leave we were talking in the driveway while he was sitting in his car facing her house. She came out & glared at us then moved her car then went back inside her house then came back out staring then slowly got in her car again & drove away very slowly glaring. Even my Son said what the heck is going on what is her problem. I guess when he 1st showed up she came out and glared at him and he waved at her and she ignored him & went inside. I don't understand. We have never spoken. I keep to myself. I don't stare I don't hang out in my front yard at all because of her behavior. I do everything in my back yard.
Heck I'm 50, I think she's in her early 40's. I don't understand the animosity or the how would you say this "high school behavior". Even considered maybe something might be going on with my boyfriend like she's obsessed with him because I don't understand where this is coming from especially since it's escalated so much in the last year. I don't know anybody in this town. All my friends and family are out west. I think the population here in this town is maybe 2,000 it's pretty small.
It just doesn't make any sense why she's so hostile towards me. She used to be really heavy but I noticed that she's lost a good amount of weight this past year because she wears extremely tight clothing but I don't understand why she's obsessed when I'm so much older than her. But it almost feels like jealousy like competition. I don't know and I'm so tired of it, I'm over it. Just want to be able to go in my front yard and not be stared at. When it's nice out at night I'll open my windows and she'll be outside with her dog because whenever she's outside her dog barks continually. If I turn my porch light on the barking stops and she goes inside. She'll hang out in her vehicle with her music blasting almost like she's trying to get someone's attention. When she gets ready to pull in her driveway she honks her horn?? It's driving me crazy I try to ignore it but I'm getting to the point where I think I'm going to start documenting everything and I don't have any cameras yet but I'm going to install some. Document everything then bring it to authorities because in my opinion it's harassment and it's a form of stalking.
