Developer Watch — Tue 06 Oct 2026: gold developers within 18 months of first pour

Gold developers within roughly 18 months of first pour, worldwide, with the numbers each company has published: the stage, the company's own first-pour guidance, funding, the study's gold-price and cost assumptions, its after-tax NPV, and the market cap against that NPV. Inclusion is not endorsement and nothing here is advice. The developer-to-producer transition is where juniors are re-rated in both directions: schedules slip, capex rises, financings dilute, and gold-price assumptions age. Every date links to the company release it came from. Market caps are approximate and dated in the wiki version.

What changed this week

How to read it

  • Stage follows company disclosure: feasibility → permitted → financed → construction → commissioning → first pour → commercial production.
  • Cap / NPV below 1 means the market values the company at less than its own study says the project is worth after tax; that gap is where the debate lives (jurisdiction, funding, execution, the gold price the study assumed).
  • Funding matters more than NPV within 12 months of first pour: an unfunded gap means dilution or a stream.
  • Post your own read as a DD or Trade-idea post (thesis, catalyst, what proves you wrong, risk, horizon, position). Rule 3 tiers apply; OTC-only names are not on this list.

Prediction markets

Market-implied odds for where gold closes, from exchange-traded yes/no contracts. Thin volume: a small-money signal, not a forecast.

Contract Implied median 75% chance above 25% chance above Contracts traded
This week's close (Fri 09 Oct) $4,172 $4,119 $4,219 2,856
Month-end close (Fri 30 Oct) $4,172 $4,039 $4,306 6,714
  • This week's close: above $4,122: 74%; above $4,162: 55%; above $4,222: 24%
  • Month-end close: above $4,073: 69%; above $4,153: 54%; above $4,273: 30%

Today's focus: Miners & royalty

  • Gold reference price $4,123/oz. Producer margin is spot minus all-in sustaining cost (AISC); each miner reports AISC quarterly, so compare it against today's reference price rather than against last quarter's average.
  • Baskets: GDX (majors, e.g. Newmont, Barrick, Agnico Eagle) and GDXJ (juniors) are the liquid miner baskets; check their closes on your broker or the issuer's page against today's reference price.
  • Royalty and streaming companies (Franco-Nevada, Wheaton, Royal Gold) carry no mine operating costs, so their margin moves with spot rather than with cost inflation; the trade-off is valuation.

Calendar

  • Fri 09 Oct — CFTC COT release, 15:30 ET
  • Wed 14 Oct — US CPI (Sep), 08:30 ET
  • Wed 28 Oct — FOMC decision and press conference, 14:00 ET (meeting Oct 27-28)

  • Baskets: GDX (majors, e.g. Newmont, Barrick, Agnico Eagle) and GDXJ (juniors) are the liquid miner baskets; check their closes on your broker or the issuer's page against today's reference price.
  • Royalty and streaming companies (Franco-Nevada, Wheaton, Royal Gold) carry no mine operating costs, so their margin moves with spot rather than with cost inflation; the trade-off is valuation.

Accounting services?

Hi everyone, looking for some help here and I’m at my wits end.

Are there any small business accounting services that do book keeping and minor accounting? Looking for help on day to day accounting. In Canada I can just outsource this to my accountant but here it seems it’s not like a thing.

We don’t have the resources to hire a full time staff member and we are a small company. We do business in Korean but a lot is in English too.

Literally would love to find someone who runs their own accounting practice that can help us. We use Stella if that helps.

Any suggestions? Are there any small business forums or groups online for this type of stuff?
