THAT'S IT, YOU'RE GOING TO 2011! (CONTAINS EXPLICIT LYRICS)

What happens when you combine deadmau5, Teddyloid, and the entirety of 8bc in a metaphorical blender? Hopefully nothing horrendously gruesome, but I'd imagine it might sound something like this (´・ω・`)

Huge shoutout to Shirobon for his exquisite "Chiptune For Serum 3: NES Unleashed" presets, and the GOAT, Don Miller (aka no-carrier) for glitchNES.

Like what you hear? Hate what you hear? Check out my other tunes on Bandcamp; I'm currently writing material for my debut album!

Novatone: A Miserable Pile of Secrets (An adage to lies and corruption within underground EDM)

Minneapolis-based netlabel, Novatone describes itself as a "...forward-thinking music & art community intending to provide a platform for new and established artists...". While the description may be accurate, it only scratches the surface of Novatone's questionable, and in rare instances, illegal activity within the community.

As former A&R and contributor for nearly four years — I had active an role in Novatone's numerous various artist compilations, including their flagship "Orbit" series.

From an outsider's perspective, the community was thriving — often bringing in artists with a larger fanbase, and sharing connections with reputable record labels such as Monstercat. However, not everything is greener on the other side of the pasture! As staff, I was not only tasked with the role of A&R, but fully responsible for moderating the server itself, which is mainly comprised of minors.

You see where I'm getting at, right? Well, strap in because it only gets worse from here!

During my brief (and unpaid) position as A&R and moderator for Novatone, I had encountered two (2) counts of pedophilia, including an artist who was later incarcerated (See: Tasha Night).

I had also witnessed multiple threats of suicide within #discussion and #vent (a channel hidden by default and only available at the user's request). Does this seem like a netlabel you would want to be affiliated with? Probably not.

After I was relinquished of my former role as A&R during a brief dispute in regards to Orbit 24: Uplifting Trance, my bitterness towards the community only grew. My appearance on Orbit 29: Neo-Y2K marked the final chapter, as I was permanently banned in January 2025. (Please view my official statement here)

Fast forward to June 15th, 2026: The day the truth came out. I had received a tip via Discord from a mutual, who had informed me that Vera (a current staff member at Novatone) had "come out" for Pride Month as consanguinamorous (better known as supporting incest). Mind you, these posts were readily accessible to hundreds of underage users who frequent the server.

Well, not only was I thoroughly disgusted as an ex-staff member and contributor for the netlabel, but I felt deeply ashamed I had brought my own FRIENDS on board to contribute to these monthly genre challenges.

As for the proof? We've got plenty of it. Everything from public Discord servers, to Bluesky posts and beyond. It's time to learn that Novatone is a miserable pile of secrets.

Made a tune inspired by Unicorn Kid's seapunk days!

Exactly what it says on the tin, haha. Had a ton of fun working on this one after feeling nostalgic for his seminal self-released Tidal Rave EP <3

Lemme know what y'all think and maybe I'll post more~

DeBisco - Hurricane (Self-Released, 2026)

Heyo 👋

First time posting here, but seapunk has always had a special place in my heart <3

Having been around for the Cambrian explosion on Tumblr in 2013, I'm no stranger to the aesthetic! Releases like the Tidal Rave EP by Unicorn Kid and Ultrademon's iconic Seapunk LP helped mold my own sound throughout the early years of my career.

Thirteen years later, I'm bringing it back from the trenches of the Internet for an double dose of nautical nostalgia. Enjoy 🐬
