4-year-old Shih Tzu changed suddenly and started biting people 🥺
My 4-year-old Shih Tzu has suddenly started biting people over the last 3 months. He never showed any aggression before.
It started after he cut his paw on glass. A woman touched the injured paw (without knowing), and he bit her. Since then, he has bitten 3 more people, including me and my husband. 🥺
The strange part is that he usually comes over for affection himself, lies down to be petted, and then suddenly bites while being stroked. It only happens when he’s lying down, usually if he’s being petted around the chest/neck area. He bites once and immediately lets go.
Otherwise he’s completely normal - eating, playing, walking, and acting like himself.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be pain (neck/back/chest), or did anyone’s dog suddenly develop this kind of behavior? We’re booking a vet appointment, but I’d appreciate hearing if others have gone through something similar. 👏🏻
