I just survived another week of moving rocks, cutting up logs, resetting e-fence for sheep, digging sweet potatoes, hanging laundry, cooking, cleaning, cutting burrs out of spaniel fur, opening windows-closing windows-opening windows. And I loved it. That is all.
We have a standard donkey. I posted a while ago to ask opinions on which would be a better companion, a better companion for him- a standard Jenny, or a gelded mini.
We went with the gelded mini. His name is Rowdy, and he and Donut are now true buddies. We are so happy!
I have a gentle, middle aged, standard, gelding donkey that I love very much. I’m looking for a companion for him. I am going to look at two possible friends for him. One is a mini, gelding. The other is a standard Jenny. If they both have compatible dispositions, which one would be a better mate, considering gender and size?
Does anyone have a standard and a mini donkey that are friends? I have a standard donkey and I am having a hard time finding a suitable friend for him. There seem to be a lot more mini donkeys around.
He is very pleased! After all the work with the new broad fork, the carrots came out great. He has a lot more to pull, but came in to show me these!
He decided to dig up Red Pontiac Potatoes today. They don’t store great long term so we will eat a lot of them and freeze some. Dug up just about 70 pounds, after planting 5 pounds of seed potatoes.
My contribution was the makeshift washing station because he thought he was going to use the bathtub😂😂😂
