My school is making us get a 76 on a CBSE to sit for step until

Hi… so yeah, the title says it all. Believe it or not, I’m going to a school that’s making us get a 76 on a CBSE to be able to sit for step. When I decided to go to this school, I had heard that it was sketchy and I was told by many people not to go there, but against my better judgement, I decided to go to this school and it has been a living hell since day one.

Before I actually started classes I thought that their step 1 pass rate was 92%, because that’s what they had on their website. However, little did I know that that was old data, and their pass rates from the current years is around 60-70%… Apparently this (amongst many other things) got them in trouble with the LCME and now they’re absolutely tourturing the students not letting us sit for step until we take 3 practice exams and then get a 76 on a CBSE. I thought this was BS, but a student took the step without going through the process AND PASSED and they got dismissed.

All of this has made my dedicated period so stressful and I’ve been getting really bad anxiety to the point where I’m not being able to sleep thinking that I’ll have to defer STEP just because I can’t hit their stupid 76 or worse, I’ll take it and I’ll get expelled too having wasted years of my life and thousands of dollars for nothing. So IDK, I just wanted to be able to express my feelings somewhere since I don’t have anyone to vent to, and I also wanted to know if there’s any other students that have gone through similar things or if y’all have any tips. Any help would be appreciated

Constant pain an no one knows what it is

Hi, I’m 29 yrs old and I was diagnosed with fatty liver about 5yrs ago. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 2 liver fibrosis and since then I’ve been trying to get it under control unsuccessfully…

I’m writing here because since January I’ve been having really bad RUQ pain. I’ve gone to 3 different GI doctors, I’ve gotten an endoscopy, a colonoscopy, countless blood testing and a CT with oral contrast and 3 fibroscans, however everything is always normal, except for the fibrosis which keeps getting worse despite my dieting. When I tell doctors about my pain, they say that it shouldn’t be my liver and that it’s probably constipation even though I go to the bathroom regularly. They look at me like I’m crazy, even though I’m in constant pain and my RUQ is visibly inflamed. I’m starting to get worried that it could maybe be my pancreas or something more sinister. Has anyone ever dealt with something like this and could give me any tips? I just feel so lost and so alone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
